Give for Luqman’s Tonsillectomy
Muhammad Luqman's Story
Muhammad Luqman, a 15-year-old boy from Karachi, has been experiencing repeated episodes of sore throat and fever for the past five years. Activities like swallowing, and speaking have become increasingly difficult for him. Luqman went to a local hospital and received a consultation from a doctor. After running some diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed him with chronic tonsillitis. It is an infection of the tonsils that persists for a long period. To alleviate his discomfort, the doctor advised tonsillectomy. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is overwhelming for his family.
Luqman’s life is badly affected by his illness and he faces extreme difficulty while concentrating on his studies. If Luqman doesn’t receive the surgery soon, his condition may lead to tonsillar enlargement, breathing problems while sleeping, and the infection may spread.
Luqman lives in a rented house with his parents and five siblings who are studying. His father, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a daily wage laborer and brings in just PKR 25000 per month. This monthly income is not sufficient to even cover their house rent of PKR 9000, utility bills amounting to PKR 6000, and educational expenses adding up to PKR 5000. They face financial hardships and paying for the surgery is significantly challenging for them. During this difficult time, Luqman’s parents turned to Transparent Hands and asked us to register his case.
Luqman’s parents said in despair:
“Our son needs surgery, but we can’t afford it. The pain and discomfort are unbearable and his condition is draining him physically and emotionally. We can’t see him in this condition. We feel helpless. Kindly help our son in undergoing the surgery.”
This surgery is essential for Luqman. With your support, he can undergo tonsillectomy and live a healthier and happier life. Join us in making a meaningful difference in Luqman’s life. Your donations can turn his dreams of a pain-free life into reality

Muhammad Luqman's Story
Muhammad Luqman, a 15-year-old boy from Karachi, had been suffering from recurring episodes of sore throat and fever for the past five years. The persistent discomfort made swallowing and speaking increasingly difficult for him, affecting his daily life. As his condition worsened, he received medical attention at a local hospital. After a thorough evaluation, the doctor diagnosed him with chronic tonsillitis. To provide lasting relief, the doctor recommended a tonsillectomy. However, the cost of the surgery was beyond his family’s financial means.
Luqman lived in a rented house with his parents and five siblings, all of whom were still studying. His father, the sole breadwinner in the family, worked as a daily wage laborer, earning only PKR 25,000 per month. With such a limited income, meeting basic household expenses was already a challenge, leaving no possibility of affording the necessary surgery. As Luqman’s suffering continued, his family desperately searched for help. That’s when they discovered Transparent Hands and reached out for support. After listening to their concerns, we promptly registered Luqman’s case.
On January 13, 2025, Luqman was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi, where Dr. Mubashir successfully performed the tonsillectomy. The procedure effectively removed the infected tonsils, putting an end to his chronic throat pain and recurring infections. After receiving post-operative care, Luqman was discharged in stable condition on January 14, 2025.
Luqaman’s parents expressed their pleasure as follows:
"For years, our son suffered from painful infections that made it hard for him to eat, talk, or even sleep. Today, he feels like a new person. We are forever grateful for the support you provided.”
Now, Luqman is on the path to a healthier and more active life. His family extends their deepest gratitude to you for helping him.
