Iqra Noor's Story

Iqra Noor, a 3-year-old girl from Lower Dir, KPK, has spent her early years struggling with every breath. Unlike other children of her age, who run around laughing and playing, Iqra becomes breathless with even mild physical activity. A few steps leave her exhausted, and her fingers and lips often turn a worrying shade of blue. Recently, her parents took her to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After undergoing detailed diagnostic tests, Iqra was diagnosed with a complex set of congenital heart defects, including Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV), Complete Atrioventricular Canal (CAVC), Pulmonary Stenosis (PS), and Bilateral Superior Vena Cava. The doctor advised her to undergo a Bilateral CP Shunt through Open-Heart Surgery. However, her family can’t afford to pay for her surgery.

This procedure is critical for improving her heart’s function. Without surgery, her condition will continue to worsen, making her more vulnerable to heart failure and severe complications.

Iqra lives in a modest home with ten family members. Her father is an Imam and a teacher at a local madrassah. He works hard but earns a modest income of PKR 45,000 per month. Despite his dedication, his earnings are barely enough to meet the daily needs of his wife as well as four children. He hardly manages to cover utility bills, food, and other living expenses. Due to their financial constraints, they simply can’t afford to pay for Iqra’s life-saving heart surgery.

With a heavy heart, Iqra’s father shared his plea as follows:

“My daughter is only three years old, and she is struggling to survive. Every day, I pray for her health, knowing I cannot afford her much-needed surgery. I am reaching out for your help with the hope that you can save Iqra.”

Iqra deserves to grow up, to breathe freely, and to experience the joys of childhood. Donate and save Iqra’s life. Your generosity can bring hope and healing to a family desperately praying for a miracle.
