Abdul Wasay's Story

Four years old Abdul Wasay, a resident of Jalal Pur Peer Wala, has been suffering from short sightedness since birth. His vision is also gradually deteriorating. His parents took him to a public hospital where he was diagnosed with left eye Cataract. A developmental cataract occurs early in childhood. Cataract is a clouding of the clear lens that eventually interferes with vision Abdul was advised to have a left eye LMA, Vitrectomy and IOL. in this surgery, lens matter will be removed from the anterior chamber of eye and a new lens will be placed. 

Abdul’s father is a daily wager and he merely earns PKR. 500 a day. In these difficult conditions, he cannot afford to get Abdul treated. A neighbor and friend of Abdul’s father told him about Transparent hands. Abdul’s father narrated his tale in the following words:

I am a daily wager. I earn an average of PKR. 300 – 500 per day, sometimes I come home empty handed as well. But this surgery is crucial for my son’s  well-being as his vision is now deteriorating. We had given up all hope that my son would ever be able to see again. I want my child to live his tender age to the fullest, please help my son.”

Abdul Wasay's Story

Four years old Abdul Wasay, a resident of Jalal Pur Peer Wala, had been suffering from blurry vision in his left eye since he was born. Upon diagnosis, Abdul was told that he suffers from Bilateral Cataract. He was advised to undergo a left LMA, Ant. vitrectomy and IOL insertion. For this purpose Abdul was sent to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust. He got his procedure successfully done by Dr. Asif on 20-11-2021. He was discharged the same day in a satisfactory condition. Abdul’s vision is now clear.
