Help Save Muaz’s Heart
Muhammad Muaz's Story
Before you get into the intricacies of Muhammad Muaz’s illness, know that your support can save his life. We request you to donate as much as you can and help save Muaz’s heart. All he needs to undergo his ASD (Atrial Septal Defect) closure after open heart surgery is your support. Even a dime can help a heart that is failing.
Muhammad Muaz, a ten-year-old resident of Lahore, has been suffering from palpitation and headaches since his childhood. After his parents noticed Muaz was having difficulty breathing, they took him to a doctor. Upon consultation, the doctor diagnosed him with chest infection. Initially the doctor gave him symptomatic treatment but as time passed , his breathing problems grew and the medicines stopped working. They took him to different public hospitals. At one hospital, after running a few tests, Muaz was diagnosed with Atrial Septal Defect. The doctors advised him to undergo an ASD (Atrial Septal Defect) closure + Pulmonary Valvotomy.
Muaz has a family of six and his father runs a small grocery store. Muaz’s father is the only person financially supporting the entire family. Her father’s monthly income is merely enough to support the family of five members. He cannot afford the hefty cost of the surgery. A friend told Muaz’s father about Transparent Hands and they visited us. It was sad to see such a bright kid being unable to live his childhood to the fullest.
“I want my child to play like other kids. This disease has stolen his childhood away from him. I see him not being able to run and what upsets me more is that he sees himself as a disappointment. For a kid his age, he is unable to understand that it is not him but his disease,” says Muaz’s Mother.
Transparent Hands has verified and registered Muaz’s case. We are determined to help him live a normal life. All of it will not be possible without your support and donations. You can help save Muaz’s heart. Therefore, we request you to donate as much as you can. Every penny counts.
Disclaimer: Transparent Hands makes sure that all the patients get surgery in time.
