Muhammad Sufyan's Story
We need your earnest help to keep Muhammad Sufyan alive and well. Therefore, please donate now and help us keep Sufyan’s heart beating.
The celebration of Muhammad Sufyan’s birth went on for weeks. Naturally, his parents beamed with joy at the birth of a son. However, her grandmother had grave concern about his health. Because, Muhammad Sufyan was unusually frail. At first, his parents did not pay any heed to his grandmother’s laments. Later, as his health deteriorated further, they took him to the hospital. After thorough examination and tests, the doctors referred him to a cardiologist.
The cardiologist ran some tests. Finally, Muhammad Sufyan was diagnosed with a Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a combination of four congenital abnormalities. These include a ventricular septal defect (VSD) and pulmonary valve stenosis. Additionally, TOF includes a misplaced aorta and a thickened right ventricular wall as well. Now, seeing the gravity of his situation, the cardiac surgeon has advised him to undergo open-heart surgery for total correction. Without surgery, Muhammad Sufyan’s life would stay compromised.
“Every night, I see him gasping for his breath. He turns blue – trying to hold on to his breath. Now, the doctors have told me if he doesn’t go through open-heart surgery, he would not be able to live for long. Thus, I do not even have the heart to imagine that. The thought kills me several times a day. Please help us keep Sufyan’s heart beating.” -Muhammad Sufyan’s mother.
Little Muhammad Sufyan’s troubles do not end here. His father cannot afford the hefty cost of his surgery. He works as a labourer and hardly earns his living. Therefore, he is unable to arrange for his son’s surgery.
Thankfully, they have registered their case with Transparent Hands. Now, team Transparent Hands is eager to help Muhammad Sufyan. Accordingly, you can help us keep Sufyan’s heart beating with your donations. Please help us save his life.

Muhammad Sufyan's Story
Muhammad Sufyan, aged one year, a resident of Karachi was suffering from cyanosis and dyspnea on mild exertion since six months of age. Upon cardiac assessment, he was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). He was advised by his cardiologist to undergo open heart surgery for total correction. For this purpose, he was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital Lahore, where Dr. M. Asim Khan performed open heart surgery for total correction of TOF on 19.02.2021. After ten days of hospital stay Muhammad Sufyan was discharged in a satisfactory condition. The surgery was conducted with the support of Pakistan Children Heart foundation and other donors. A child who has had surgical repair of TOF, requires lifelong care and examinations by a cardiologist along with medication and an optimized lifestyle. Luckily now Muhammad Sufyan is beyond the initial stage of treatment and is optimistic for a healthy life.
