Khuzaima Ayyaz's Story

Khuzaima Ayyaz, a brave 3-year-old resident of Mardan, Pakistan, is facing the distressing symptoms of shortness of breath and cyanosis. Concerned for their child’s well-being, his parents rushed him to a nearby hospital, where they were advised to consult with a cardiologist. After undergoing diagnostic tests and careful evaluation, the doctor delivered the diagnosis of severe RVOTO (right ventricular outflow tract obstruction) and RVH (right ventricular hypertrophy). The recommended course of action is cardiac surgery, specifically total correction, and RVOTO resection, to address Khuzaima’s condition. However, the financial burden on the family is overwhelming, prompting them to seek the support of kind-hearted donors to make this life-saving surgery possible.

In the words of Khuzaima’s father, who is filled with concern and hope, he shares,

“As a parent, it breaks my heart to witness my child struggle with every breath. We have been informed that open-heart surgery is the only way to give Khuzaima a chance at a healthy life. However, our limited financial resources make it impossible for us to afford this critical procedure. We humbly appeal to the generosity of compassionate donors to help us in this challenging time.”

Transparent Hands has taken Khuzaima’s case under their care, ensuring that he receives the best medical attention. However, the cost of the cardiac surgery and associated medical expenses are beyond the means of his family. Your support can make a profound impact on Khuzaima’s life, bringing him closer to the relief and improved health he desperately needs.

Join us in this campaign to make a significant difference in Khuzaima’s life. Your donation, no matter the amount, can provide hope and transform the life of this young child. Together, let us rally behind Khuzaima and his family, offering them the chance to witness their child grow and thrive without the burden of a debilitating heart condition.

Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.

Khuzaima Ayyaz's Story

Khuzaima Ayyaz, a 3-year-old little girl from Mardan, was facing the challenging symptoms of breathlessness and cyanosis since birth. Her parents consulted a cardiologist. After a thorough examination and some diagnostic tests, Khuzaima was diagnosed with severe RVOTO (Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction) and RVH (Right Ventricular Hypertrophy). The cardiologist recommended Median-Sternotomy and RVOTO resection as the only option to save her life.

Khuzaima's parents wanted her to undergo the surgery as soon as possible. However, the cost of her heart surgery was beyond their financial means which left them in a state of distress. In this time of need, Khuzaima's family contacted Transparent Hands. We recognized the urgency of Khuzaima's case and stepped in to help her. With our assistance, Khuzaima was successfully admitted to Ittefaq Hospital Lahore. On 3rd May 2024, a skilled surgeon, Dr Asim Khan, performed Khuzaima's RVOTO resection after median-sternotomy. She was hospitalized for 5 days and received essential care and monitoring. Khuzaima's recovery progressed remarkably well and her life's quality has improved to a great extent. On 7th May 2024, she was discharged, with the beginning of a new chapter in her life. The symptoms that had burdened her were finally alleviated.

Khuzaima's family overflowed with happiness and said:
