In the heart of Muzaffargarh, a small town in Pakistan, a six-year-old boy named Adil struggles with a debilitating condition that affects his vision. Adil is battling a cataract in his left eye, which has severely impaired his sight and brought immense difficulties for both him and his parents. The burden of this condition has grown over time, leading the doctor to recommend surgery as the only viable solution to alleviate his suffering and prevent further deterioration in his eyesight.

Adil’s story is one of resilience and hope in the face of adversity. Since childhood, he has braved the challenges imposed by his cataract, and now a brighter future awaits him if we extend our helping hands. The recommended treatment for Hassan is a Lens matter aspiration (LMA) and Intraocular Lens (IOL)- a surgical procedure. This intervention is crucial to correct his vision and prevent the progression of his shortsightedness, offering him the chance to experience the world with clarity and without limitations.

However, Adil’s family faces significant financial constraints that hinder their ability to provide him with the necessary treatment. His father, a hardworking laborer, earns a modest income of 500–700 rupees per day, barely enough to meet their basic needs. They reside in a 5-Marla house, and Hassan has an eight-year-old brother. With the family’s entire livelihood depending on Hassan’s father, the financial burden of the surgery is too much.
