Sajid Hussain's Story

Sajid Hussain, a 28-year-old man from Multan, has been experiencing blurred vision, making even simple tasks challenging. His work at the mill requires clear eyesight. However, with his declining eyesight, every day has become a battle for him. Concerned about his condition, he recently consulted a doctor. After a thorough evaluation, he was diagnosed with a cataract in his right eye. The doctor advised the right Phaco+ IOL surgery to restore his vision. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is far beyond his reach.

Without the surgery, his condition will continue to worsen. It may lead to complete blindness in his right eye. The thought of losing his ability to see his loved ones’ faces leaves Sajid in distress.

Sajid lives in a joint family of fourteen members, relying on a modest income of PKR 38,700 per month. Though his brother also works at the mill, their combined earnings are barely enough to cover household expenses. With so many people to feed, saving for surgery is simply impossible. Sajid’s family faces financial hardships and they can’t afford to pay for the surgery.

Sajid said in despair:

“I never imagined losing my vision at this age. I want to work, support my family, and build a future. However, my world is getting dark. Every day, I fear that I may lose my ability to work entirely. I request you to please support me in undergoing the surgery.”

Sajid’s only hope is this surgery. Your support can restore his vision and his ability to lead an independent life. A small contribution can help him regain not just his sight, but also his dignity and future. We ask you to open your hearts and help Sajid see clearly again.

Sajid Hussain's Story

Sajid Hussain, a 28-year-old man from Multan, had been struggling with blurred vision in his right eye. Working in a mill where clear vision was very important, Sajid started facing issues while performing even simple tasks. His declining vision threatened not only his job but also his independence. Worried about his deteriorating condition, Sajid visited a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor. After a detailed evaluation, the doctor diagnosed him with a cataract in his right eye. To restore his sight, the doctor recommended Phacoemulsification surgery with Intraocular Lens (Phaco + IOL) implantation.

While the recommended procedure was essential to restore his vision, the cost was beyond Sajid’s financial capacity. He lives in a joint family of 14 members. Despite working alongside his brother at the mill, their combined monthly income of just PKR 38,700 is barely enough to support their household. With so many mouths to feed and bills to pay, saving for surgery was simply out of the question. During this time of need, Sajid turned to Transparent Hands. After reviewing his case, we registered him to undergo much-needed surgery.

With the generous support of donors, Sajid’s surgery was performed at Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital in Multan. Dr. Safeez Shehbaz successfully performed his right Phaco + IOL surgery on May 7, 2025. The procedure went smoothly, and Sajid was discharged in satisfactory condition from the hospital.

Sajid said with tears of happiness in his eyes:

“Every day was a struggle. Today, my world is brighter again. I can work, support my family, and live with dignity again. I am thankful to you for supporting my surgery.”

Sajid’s life has changed remarkably. He has returned to work with confidence and no longer struggles to complete his tasks.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for making this life-changing surgery possible. Your generosity has helped Sajid see the world clearly again and brought hope back into his life.
