Manahil Zafar's Story
Manahil is a stranger to the beautiful world of sounds. She has been suffering from hearing loss since birth. Your donation can give her the ability to hear. Please support Manahil’s Cochlear Implant Surgery as much as you can. We request you to donate generously.
Five-year-old Manahil Zafar, a resident of Peshawar, has been suffering from Sensorineural Hearing Loss since she was born. Sensorineural hearing loss is a congenital condition that affects the patient’s hearing ability. She has never heard her own name or her patients’ voices. Due to this condition, she has also not been able to develop the ability to speak.
Upon consultation, the doctor has advised Manahil to undergo Cochlear Implant surgery. It can give her the ability to hear and speak. It will improve the quality of her life significantly. Unfortunately, Manahil Zafar’s parents cannot afford to pay for the hefty cost of the cochlear implant surgery. Manahil’s father is a shopkeeper and hardly manages to earn PKR 20,000 per month. He is the only earner in the family and hardly manages to make ends meet after paying the rent and other household bills. The cochlear implant surgery is so expensive that it’s impossible for her parents to pay for it without your support.
Manahil Zafar’s father told us:
“I want my daughter to be able to hear us every time we tell her we love her. She is a perfect kid, but we want her to live, hear, and talk like all the other kids her age.”
After a lot of distress, Manahil’s parents reached out to Transparent Hands and we have registered her case. We have assured them that we will arrange her surgery. Now, all we need is your support. We request you to support Manahil’s Cochlear Implant Surgery. You can donate by clicking the green button above.
