Muhammad Shan's Story

Muhammad Shan Latif is suffering from a congenital heart condition. Besides experiencing shortness of breath, the little boy also often feels nausea and vomiting. He hasn’t been able to gain weight. The doctor has advised open-heart surgery but his parents cannot afford to pay for it due to financial constraints. Support Shan’s open-heart surgery to prolong his life.

Two-year-old Shan Latif, a resident of Rahim Yar Khan, was born with a complex heart condition involving Large Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and Left Ventricular Volume Overload (LVVO) since birth. VSD is one of the most common congenital malformations of the heart. His parents came to know about his condition when he was a year old. After running some diagnostic tests and a thorough evaluation, the doctor advised open-heart surgery for VSD Closure.

Shan Latif lives with his parents and two siblings in a small house. His father is a poor laborer and earns just PKR 10,000 per month. His father cannot afford this expensive surgery. This innocent child can’t express his painful condition and his parents feel helpless.

With a heavy heart and teary eyes, his mother said:

My child is very dear to me. I cannot see him in pain. He can’t even express his pain in words. I know he is not growing like other kids. I don’t want anything for myself. I just want my son’s health. Please help us with the surgery.”

Shan’s parents reached out to us and we have registered his case. However, we need donations to provide him with the open-heart surgery. His parents have exhausted all other options and have placed their hopes in your hands. We urge you to support Shan’s open-heart surgery to save his life and change his future. You can make a lasting impact with a donation as little as $10. Contribute as much as you can.
