Wahida Begum 's Story

Wahida Begum awaits Cardiac Surgery. Before you go on to read the story of Wahida Begum, please know that your smallest contribution will help Wahida live a healthy life. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Wahida Begum’s Cardiac surgery.

Forty nine years old Wahida Begum is a resident of Mardan. For the past nine years of her life, she has been suffering from Tachycardia and shortness of breath. She has been consulting different doctors. She has been taking symptomatic treatment too. Unfortunately even with this treatment, Wahida Begum’s condition only worsened. She went to see a different doctor this time. After consultation, she was advised by him to undergo an Angiography.

Wahida’s Angiography reports revealed that she is suffering from Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD). The doctor then advised her to undergo a Mitral Valve Replacement. Mitral valve replacement is a type of surgery that is carried out to fix or replace a leaky or stiff mitral valve in the heart. The mitral valve is between the left heart chambers (left atrium and left ventricle).

Wahida lives with her husband and two children. Her husband is also a kidney patient and because of this health condition he is unemployed.  They rely on their relatives for financial assistance. Wahida can not afford the hefty cost of this surgery. A far off relative told them about Transparent Hands. Luckily, Wahida has now been connected with us.

“I had lost every hope for my treatment and then we found out about Transparent Hands. Now that I have their support I am hopeful.”

Transparent Hands has registered Wahida’s case and we are determined to help her. But, this will not be possible without your support. As Wahida Begum awaits Cardiac Surgery, we therefore request you to kindly donate generously for Wahida Begum.
