Be Remembered for Saving Bahar Bibi’s Life with Heart Surgery
Bahar Bibi's Story
Bahar Bibi, a 6-year-old girl from Hasilpur, is experiencing a challenging life. She frequently experiences shortness of breath, chest discomfort, palpitations, and heaviness in her chest. Even mild physical exertion leaves her short of breath. Worried about her health, her parents took her to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor. After undergoing detailed medical examinations, Bahar was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Right Coronary Cusp (RCC), Mild Aortic Regurgitation (AR), and Left Ventricular Outflow Obstruction (LVVO). These conditions are affecting the normal function of her heart and require timely treatment. To save her life, the doctor has advised open-heart surgery for VSD Closure.
If left untreated, Bahar’s condition may result in:
- Irreversible damage to the heart and lungs
- Stunted physical and cognitive development
- Increased risk of heart failure
- Potentially life-threatening complications
Bahar lives with her parents and three siblings in her grandmother’s house. Her father is the only earning member of the family and holds a private job, earning just PKR 40,000 per month. A significant portion of his income is spent on household expenses, including utility bills of PKR 3,000, leaving almost nothing to cover the cost of a major heart surgery. As a result, the family is unable to afford the treatment.
Bahar’s father said in despair:
“Every parent wants to see their child healthy. My daughter’s heart condition has brought many challenges into our lives, and we are constantly worried about her future. I work hard for my family, but I cannot afford her surgery. Your support can provide her with this much-needed treatment that can improve her health and future. Kindly help us.”
The clock is ticking for Bahar and you can save her. Every contribution, no matter how small or big, will make a valuable difference in her life.
