Muhammad Hasnad's Story

Muhammad Hasnad, a one-year-old boy from Dera Ghazi Khan, has been living with shortness of breath and chest discomfort since infancy. This condition makes it difficult for him to stay active like other children of his age. What should be a carefree childhood has instead become a daily struggle for him and his family. Concerned about his health, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After undergoing thorough medical examinations, Muhammad Hasnad was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and Pulmonary Hypertension (PHT). These conditions place excessive strain on his heart and can lead to severe complications if left untreated. To improve his heart function and give him the chance to grow up healthy, the doctor has advised open-heart surgery (VSD Closure). Without this procedure, his condition may continue to worsen, increasing the risk of permanent heart damage and other life-threatening complications.

Muhammad Hasnad lives with his parents in a relative’s house. His father is the family’s sole breadwinner and works as a laborer, earning only PKR 15,000 per month. This income is insufficient to cover their household expenses. With such modest income, they are struggling to meet their basic needs and cannot afford the cost of this heart surgery.

With tears in his eyes, Muhammad Hasnad’s father shared:

“Every day, I pray that my son undergoes heart surgery before it’s too late. It is heartbreaking to watch him suffer at such a young age. Kindly support Hasnad’s heart surgery.”

A successful heart surgery can save Muhammad Hasnad’s life and secure his future. Your kindness can give his family hope and help change the course of his life.
