Bagh Ali's Story

Bagh Ali, a 36-year-old man from Naushahro Feroze, Sindh, has been suffering from abdominal pain for many years. Around seven years ago, he started experiencing pain in the right upper side of his abdomen. Along with the pain, he also began facing nausea and indigestion, especially after eating fatty meals. As the pain became more frequent and difficult to bear, Bagh Ali visited a nearby doctor. The doctor prescribed medicines and advised further investigations, including lab tests and an ultrasound scan. After undergoing a complete assessment, he was diagnosed with Cholelithiasis. It is characterized by the deposition of hard mineral deposits in the gallbladder. To relieve his pain, the doctor recommended a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. If Bagh Ali does not undergo the recommended surgery, his condition may become more serious over time. It may cause severe infections, blockage in the bile duct, inflammation of the gallbladder, and unbearable pain. In some cases, delayed treatment can lead to life-threatening complications and emergency hospitalization.

Bagh Ali works as a laborer and earns around PKR 30,000 per month. He is married and has a son. Besides supporting his own family, he is also financially responsible for his four sisters and two brothers. With his modest income, he struggles to manage his utility bills and the living expenses of such a large family. Given his financial situation, he can’t afford his life-changing surgery.

Bagh Ali expressed his plea as follows:

“I try to keep working despite the pain because my family depends on me. There are days when I cannot even eat properly due to the discomfort in my stomach. I need your help so that I can recover from this illness. Please support my treatment.”
