Ensure a Safe Delivery for Shanzay by Supporting Her C-Section
Shanzay Fatima's Story
Shanzay Fatima, a 26-year-old expectant mother from Kabirwala, Khanewal, is carrying her baby with both hope and fear. She is currently 26 weeks pregnant and has a previous history of a C-section. Due to her medical condition and pregnancy history, her doctor has advised another C-section to ensure the safe delivery of her baby and protect Shanzay from possible complications. Pregnancy should be a time of care, comfort, and preparation. For Shanzay, it has become a period filled with uncertainty and fear. She knows that timely C-section is important for both her life and her baby’s safety. However, the cost of the required C-section is far beyond her family’s financial capacity. If Shanzay Fatima does not receive the advised C-section at the right time, she may be at risk of obstructed labor, excessive bleeding, uterine rupture, fetal distress, emergency delivery complications, and serious threats to both the mother and baby.
Shanzay is a housewife and lives with her husband and two children in a modest home in Kabirwala. Her husband, Zafar Iqbal, is the only earning member of the family. He works as a laborer and earns only PKR 20,000 per month. With this limited income, the family struggles to manage their utility bills of PKR 3,000 and educational expenses of PKR 2,500, along with food and other daily needs. With a modest income supporting a family of four, arranging money for Shanzay’s C-section is impossible for them.
Shanzay said in despair: “I want to deliver my baby safely, but the cost of the operation is unaffordable for us. I am scared for myself and my child. Kindly help me undergo this C-section so that my baby and I can remain safe.”
