Asif Ali's Story

42-year-old Asif Ali met with a roadside accident in which he broke his right leg. He was immediately rushed to the nearest local hospital where he got treated. However, post-treatment, his bone did not unite and he was unable to bear weight on it after his surgery at the local hospital. He was diagnosed as a case of nonunion right tibia & fibula and was advised surgery for this condition. In the 1st stage, the Ilizarov fixator was applied to fix his leg bones and correct the position 2 months ago. Now in the 2nd stage, he needed corticotomy and bone transport which were done on 19-05-20, by Dr. Zahid Siddique, in Akram Medical Complex. He remained admitted for 2 days with good post-op recovery and was discharged.
