Atta-ur-Rehman, an eight-year-old resident of Karachi, has been facing a challenging journey over the past year. He experienced a noticeable swelling in his right inguinal region, causing him discomfort and distress. Concerned for their beloved child, his parents wasted no time and rushed him to the nearest hospital. After undergoing diagnostic tests, the doctors confirmed that Atta-ur-Rehman was suffering from a right inguinal hernia and advised him to undergo surgery.

Right inguinal hernia repair is a surgical procedure that aims to fix the hernia by reinforcing the weakened abdominal wall. However, Atta-ur-Rehman’s father, a hardworking daily wage laborer, earns a monthly income of only PKR 20,000. Meeting the basic needs of their family is already a struggle, and the burden of medical expenses seems insurmountable.
