You Gave Samuel a Pain-Free Life Through Hip Replacement Surgery

Samuel Francis's Story

Samuel Francis, a 39-year-old man from Rawalpindi, was living with increasing pain and weakness in his left hip joint. Over time, his condition progressed to the point where sitting comfortably became difficult, and walking without support was no longer possible. The persistent discomfort also affected his independence, leaving him unable to continue work or manage daily activities. Gradually, his quality of life declined, and even routine movements became challenging. Concerned about his worsening condition, Samuel visited a nearby hospital where he was evaluated by a doctor. After a detailed clinical assessment, X-rays, and some necessary laboratory tests, he was diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the left hip. This degenerative condition occurs due to the gradual breakdown of joint cartilage, leading to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. To restore function and reduce pain, the doctor recommended a left-sided Total Hip Replacement (THR).
However, the cost of the surgery was beyond his financial capacity.

Samuel had recently lost his job due to his health condition and was living with his brother. With no income, arranging money for treatment became impossible, leaving him in a difficult situation. During this time of need, Samuel contacted Transparent Hands and asked us to register his case.

On May 19, 2026, Samuel Francis was admitted to the Zia Darman Hospital in Mardan. Dr. Aimen Zia performed the left-sided Total Hip Replacement surgery on May 21, 2026. The procedure went smoothly without complications. Samuel remained under medical care after surgery and was discharged in stable condition on May 22, 2026.

Samuel shared his feelings as follows:

“Living with this pain made every movement difficult, and I had lost hope of returning to a normal life. After the surgery, I feel a great sense of relief. I am deeply thankful to you for your kindness and support.”

Today, Samuel Francis is recovering steadily and gradually regaining strength in his left leg. He is beginning to walk with improved confidence and looks forward to rebuilding his independence.

His family extends their gratitude to you for helping them during their time of need.
