You Helped Hamza Receive Treatment for Wegener’s Granulomatosis

Muhammad Hamza's Story

Muhammad Hamza, a 30-year-old man from Rawalpindi, had been suffering from a painful condition that gradually took control of his life. He suffered from body aches, recurring fever, and severe joint pain that affected multiple joints of his body. Even simple movements became difficult, making it hard for him to manage his daily responsibilities. Concerned about his worsening health, Hamza consulted a doctor who advised detailed medical investigations to identify the underlying cause. After undergoing thorough tests and examinations, he was diagnosed with Wegener’s granulomatosis, a rare autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks small and medium-sized blood vessels. His doctor recommended treatment with monoclonal antibodies, specifically Rituximab injections. However, the cost of this treatment was far beyond what Hamza and his family could afford.

Hamza lives in a government quarter with his wife, three children, and five other family members. His father, a government employee, is battling blood cancer. Hamza holds an online data entry job, and the family’s total monthly income is around PKR 50,000. This limited income is insufficient to cover their household expenses. Due to their financial constraints, they couldn’t afford Hamza’s much-needed treatment. During this challenging time, Hamza reached out to Transparent Hands for help. After listening to their concerns, we registered his case.

On February 20, 2026, Hamza received treatment at Inmol Cancer Hospital in Lahore. The treatment was provided successfully by Dr. Sardar.

Hamza shared his feelings as follows:

“I was going through a very difficult time as my health kept getting worse, and I had no means to afford the treatment. Your support has given me hope and relief. I am truly thankful to you for standing by me during this challenging phase of my life.”

Today, Hamza is gaining strength.
