Muhammad Hashim's Story

Muhammad Hashim, a 39-year-old man from Matiari, Sindh, had been living with pain in the upper right side of his abdomen for the past three years. Along with the pain, he often experienced nausea, vomiting, and difficulty tolerating fatty meals. These symptoms gradually became a part of his daily life, making it hard for him to work, eat comfortably, and fulfill his responsibilities. As his condition continued to affect his health, Hashim visited a local hospital for an evaluation. After an ultrasound scan and some necessary lab tests, the doctor diagnosed him with Cholelithiasis, a condition in which hard deposits form inside the gallbladder. These stones can cause repeated pain, digestive problems, inflammation, and other serious complications if not treated on time. To ease his suffering and prevent further health risks, the doctor advised laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

For Hashim, saving money for his surgery was impossible. He works as a laborer and earns only PKR 15,000 per month. As the primary breadwinner of his family, he supports his four children and elderly parents. His limited income is spent on food, household expenses, and the basic needs of his loved ones. With so many responsibilities and no savings, this treatment was far beyond his reach. During this time of need, he reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us to register his case.

On May 13, 2026, Hashim was admitted to the Isra Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. His laparoscopic cholecystectomy was successfully performed by Dr. Aftab Ahmed Soomro on May 14, 2026. Following post-operative care and observation, Hashim was discharged in stable condition on May 15, 2026.

Hashim expressed his gratitude as follows:

“For three years, I lived with pain that made my life difficult. I was worried because I could not afford the surgery. Your support helped me receive treatment and return to my family with relief. I am grateful for your generous support”

Today, Hashim is recovering steadily. The surgery has given him relief from the pain that troubled him.

His family is deeply grateful to you for making his treatment possible.
