Ajwa Bibi's Story

Before you proceed to read about the life-threatening illness that has enveloped Ajwa, we wish to remind you that you can put her out of misery. Your donation, however small it may be, will make a huge difference in Ajwa’s life. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Ajwa’s VSD closure as much as you can.

Ever since Ajwa was born, she had been suffering from repeated episodes of chest pain. At first, her parents thought it to be a minor chest infection. However, when the pain persisted, Ajwa’s parents consulted a cardiologist. After thorough testing, Ajwa was diagnosed with a  ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). A VSD  is a hole in the wall separating the two lower chambers of the heart.

The news of her heart disease played havoc with their emotions. The doctor then advised a VSD closure surgery.

Unfortunately, Ajwa’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of a VSD closure open heart surgery. Her father works as a manual laborer and hardly manages to earn PKR 15000 per month. In this income, he cannot bear the cost of a VSD closure surgery. Therefore, he has requested Transparent Hands for help. He told us:

“The day I found out about my daughter’s illness was most definitely the worst day of my life. Ajwa is my jaan – my life. And we feel so helpless seeing her suffer every day. Whoever is reading this, I request you all to please help me save my daughter. Please listen to the cry of a distressed father.”

After a lot of distress, with the help of their doctor Ajwa’s parents have registered her case with Transparent Hands. We wish to get Ajwa out of death’s shadow as soon as possible. But, we cannot do that without your help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Ajwa’s VSD closure as much as you can.
