During fetal development, testicles form in the abdomen and during final months of development, gradually descend into the scrotum. If the said descent isn’t completed at birth, the testicle usually descends within a few months. Failure of this descent is termed as undescended testis. Whereas, retractile testicle is a testicle moving back and forth between the scrotum and the groin. Signs and symptoms of a retractile testicle include: retraction of testicle from scrotum into the groin, when the testicle may be moved by hand from the groin into the scrotum it might immediately retreat to the groin, the testicle might spontaneously appear in the scrotum and remain there briefly, or it might spontaneously disappear again for some time. The siad medical conditions can be corrected by Orchidopexy that is a procedure in which a surgeon fixes an undescended testicle inside the scrotum. Noman Ali has been advised to undergo Orchidopexy, but the said procedure is financially out of their reach. Noman Ali’s father shares his grief in the following words.

“For the past few years we have been trying to get our son treated for his congenital deformity. Until now we are failing to secure a date for operation at the government hospital. I can not afford to get my son treated at a private hospital. I am a labourer working in a factory. I earn around PKR. 15,000 per month. We are living in a joint family system. My son’s medical issue since birth has created much worry for us. Now that the doctors have advised surgery to my son, I can not afford it. Noman Ali's Story

For this purpose, Noman Ali was admitted to Lahore Care Hospital, where Dr. Sajid Nayyer performed the surgical procedure on 27.07.2021 and Noman Ali’s testes were fixed.
