Muhammad Abdul Rehman's Story

Life has not been easy for Abdul Rahman, who is just four years old. Unfortunately, he was born without the vital sense of hearing. You can help him. Your donations can get Abdul Rahman the treatment he needs. Therefore, we request you to support Abdul’s Cochlear Implant Surgery as much as you can.

Ever since Muhammad Abdul Rahman was an infant, he has been suffering from a hearing condition called sensorinueral hearing loss. Babies who have a genetic predisposition to hearing loss are often born with damaged inner ears. To treat Abdul Rahman’s condition, ENT specialists have advised him to get a cochlear implant placed in his ear. A cochlear implant is a small, complex electronic device that can provide the sense of hearing to a person who is profoundly deaf. According to the doctors, sensorineural hearing loss is not 100 percent treatable but a cochlear implant is the best possible option to give these patients the sense of hearing.

Unfortunately, Abdul Rahman’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of a Cochlear Implant surgery. Abdul Rahman’s father earns just PKR 22,000 per month. With a family of seven to support with this meager income, he is in no position to arrange for Abdul Rahman’s surgery. He told us:

“My son doesn’t know that this world is full of wonderful sounds. I request everybody reading this to please help my son.”

After a lot of distress, Abdul Rahman’s family has registered his case with Transparent Hands. We are determined to help him. However, it cannot be done without your generous financial assistance. Therefore, we request you to support Abdul’s Cochlear Implant Surgery without any delay. His future is in your hands and you can fill it with joy with as little as $10. Even a small donation can make a lasting impact.

Muhammad Abdul Rehman's Story

Four-year-old Abdul Rehman, a resident of Chakwal, had sensorineural hearing loss since birth. The doctor advised cochlear implant surgery upon consultation. He was admitted to Ali Medical Centre, Islamabad, where his operation was performed by Dr. Jawwad Ahmed on 9-09-2022. He installed the internal component of the cochlear implant successfully. He was discharged after one day of stay in the hospital. After six weeks, the external component of his cochlear implant was installed. Abdul Rehman has gained the ability to hear. We greatly appreciate your unending kindness and financial gift. We can't do it without you, and we appreciate your willingness to lend a helping hand.
