Jagshi Nanjee's Story

Jagshi Nanjee, a 40-year-old man from Sanghar, is going through a difficult time after a painful accident changed his life. A roadside accident caused a serious injury to his left elbow. At first, he received treatment with a plaster. Despite following medical advice, his fractured elbow did not heal properly. Simple tasks like lifting objects, eating comfortably, or even moving his arm have become extremely difficult for him. Concerned about his condition, Jagshi visited a doctor again for further evaluation. After a detailed examination, he was diagnosed with a left distal humerus fracture that has not healed correctly. To restore the function of his arm, the doctor has advised Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) with dual plate and bone grafting. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond his means. If left untreated, Jagshi’s condition may lead to permanent stiffness, deformity, and loss of arm function. This can cause reduced mobility and long-term disability.

After the accident, Jagshi has been unemployed. His son is now the only earning member of the family and works as a laborer, earning around PKR 15,000 per month. Jagshi’s one daughter is married, and the other two children are studying in a government school. The family lives in a small hut and struggles to cover even their basic needs. Due to their financial constraints, arranging the cost of the surgery is not possible for them.

Jagshi shared his plea as follows:

“My arm does not work properly, and I feel helpless due to it. I cannot work or support my family like before. It is very difficult for me to live like this. I don’t have enough money to pay for this surgery. Kindly help me during this time of need.”
