Noor Ahmed's Story
Noor Ahmed, a 25-year-old man from Turbat, Balochistan, has been struggling with nasal blockage for the past ten years. This condition makes it difficult for him to breathe comfortably and carry out his daily activities. Concerned about his worsening condition, his family took him to a nearby doctor for a detailed evaluation. After the necessary clinical examination and laboratory investigations, the doctor diagnosed him with a Deviated Nasal Septum (DNS). A deviated nasal septum is a condition in which the wall separating the two nasal passages is displaced, restricting airflow and causing chronic breathing difficulties. To restore normal breathing and improve his quality of life, the doctor has recommended Septoplasty. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond his family’s financial means. Without the recommended surgery, Noor’s condition may continue to worsen, increasing his risk of chronic sinus infections, frequent headaches, disturbed sleep, breathing difficulties, and reduced concentration in his studies.
Noor is a student who lives with his parents and two younger siblings in their modest family home in Turbat. His father, a farmer, is the family’s sole earning member and works hard to support six family members on a monthly income of just PKR 35,000. This modest income is barely enough to cover the household’s daily expenses and the educational needs of Noor and his siblings. Due to their financial hardships, they can’t afford Noor’s surgery.
Noor shared his heartfelt plea as follows:
“For the past ten years, I have struggled to breathe normally because of my condition. It affects my studies and daily life. My father already works very hard to support our family with his modest income. I just want to get rid of this illness. Kindly help me undergo this much-needed surgery.”
Noor dreams of completing his education and building a better future for himself and his family, but his health continues to stand in his way.
