Arsalan Khan's Story

Arsalan Khan, a 16-year-old boy from Malakand, has been experiencing repeated episodes of sore throat for many years. Moreover, he frequently experiences high-grade fever, which affects his quality of life. Activities like speaking, eating, and swallowing have become difficult for him. Recently, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Arsalan with Chronic Tonsillitis. It is a condition in which the tonsils get repeatedly inflamed or infected over a long period. To provide lasting relief and prevent further complications, the doctor has advised a tonsillectomy, a surgical procedure to remove the tonsils. However, Arsalan’s family cannot afford the cost of this treatment.

Arsalan lives with his father and three siblings in a modest home. His father works as a laborer, earning PKR 35,000 per month. Out of this meager income, PKR 3,000 is spent on educational expenses and PKR 1,500 on utility bills. After covering these essentials, the family has very limited resources left, making it impossible to save for surgery.

Without timely treatment, Arsalan’s condition may worsen, leading to:

  • Peritonsillar abscess
  • Tonsillar enlargement
  • Risk of severe infections affecting other areas of the body
  • Reduced quality of life

Arsalan’s parents shared their heartfelt plea as follows:

“Our son suffers from a condition that leaves him weak. It is heartbreaking to see him struggle with this illness every day. We want him to be healthy and strong again, but we cannot afford this surgery on our own. We ask you to be kind and support Arsalan’s surgery.”

Arsalan’s well-being depends on this surgery. Every contribution, no matter how small or big, will make a meaningful difference in his life.

Contribute now and change Arsalan’s life with tonsillectomy.
