Allah Dita's Story
Allah Dita, a 48-year-old man from Multan, is struggling with a fading vision. For the past several months, he has been experiencing serious difficulty in seeing clearly, especially with his left eye. This challenge is not only affecting his independence but also threatening his ability to continue earning for his family. Previously, Transparent Hands facilitated his right eye surgery (ICCE with scleral fixation) in January 2025, which significantly improved his vision. However, his struggle is not over yet. His doctor has now diagnosed him with a subluxated lens in his left eye and has strongly advised Left ICCE (Intracapsular Cataract Extraction) with scleral fixation to restore his sight completely.
If Allah Dita does not undergo this recommended procedure soon, his condition may worsen. Without surgical correction, the lens displacement in his left eye may lead to complete loss of vision. It will affect his balance and ability to perform even basic tasks.
Allah Dita is the sole breadwinner in his family. He has five children who rely entirely on him for their survival. As a laborer, his income is modest and barely enough to meet the family’s monthly needs. Though they live in a modest house, their financial condition is heartbreaking. Allah Dita pays PKR 3000 for utility bills and PKR 5000 for his children’s education every month. After covering such essential expenses, there’s nothing left to set aside for his surgery. During this difficult time, they have turned to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.

Allah Dita, a 48-year-old man from Multan, was struggling with a dim vision. His visual impairment made it difficult for him to recognize objects clearly or carry out his work. With the help of Transparent Hands, his right eye surgery (ICCE with scleral fixation) was performed in January 2025. However, his battle was not over yet. During his recent consultation, his doctor diagnosed him with a subluxated lens in the left eye and advised a left-sided ICCE (Intracapsular Cataract Extraction) with scleral fixation.
Allah Dita is the sole provider for his family of five children. He works as a daily wage laborer, earning a very modest income that barely covers food and other essentials. The cost of this surgery was far beyond his reach, and the fear of losing his remaining vision weighed heavily on him. During this time of despair, he reached out to Transparent Hands once again, hoping for the same support he received earlier. After listening to his concerns, we promptly registered his case.
On June 24, 2025, Allah Dita was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Teaching Hospital, Multan. The next day, Dr. Asif Manzoor successfully performed the left-sided ICCE with scleral fixation. After receiving the required post-operative care, Allah Dita was discharged in stable condition on the same day.
