Restore Noor Hassan’s Mobility with Hip Replacement Surgery
Noor Hassan's Story
Noor Hassan, a 36-year-old man from Faisalabad, is suffering from pain and discomfort in both of his hip joints. The pain has gradually become so intense that walking without support has become extremely difficult for him. His illness makes it painful for him to stand, move, or continue his daily work properly. As his condition worsened, Noor Hassan visited a doctor for a detailed checkup. After a medical evaluation, he was diagnosed with Bilateral Avascular Necrosis (AVN) of the femoral heads. This condition damages the bone due to poor blood supply and causes severe pain, stiffness, and difficulty in movement. His right side is more affected than the left one. Therefore, the doctor advised a Right Total Hip Replacement (THR) surgery. If he does not undergo surgery, the pain may continue and it will become harder for him to stand, sit, and walk. Over time, the condition can get worse, causing more damage to the joint and leading to deformity and further wear of the cartilage.
Noor Hassan lives in a modest home with his mother, wife and five children. He works as a fruit seller at a small stall and brings in just PKR 35,000 per month. His wife works as a maid at someone’s house, and his elderly mother does embroidery work on a small scale to help manage household expenses. They struggle to pay their utility bills of PKR 2,000 and educational expenses of PKR 5,000 for the children. After managing daily needs, there is nothing left for Noor Hassan’s surgery.
Noor Hassan expressed his heartfelt plea as follows:
“Every step feels painful now, and there are days when even standing becomes difficult. This illness has made my life hard, and I feel helpless. I want relief from this suffering so I can walk properly again, and attend to my responsibilities as a father. Kindly help me.”
Noor Hassan is counting on your kindness. He deserves a life without pain and difficulty.
