Restore Noshela’s Eyesight with Cataract Surgery
Noshela Riaz's Story
Noshela Riaz, a 41-year-old woman from Hyderabad, is suffering from blurry and dim vision. Routine tasks like cooking and even walking have become overwhelming challenges for her. Concerned about her deteriorating condition, Noshela visited a doctor for a detailed evaluation. After undergoing an examination, she was diagnosed with a Left Eye Cataract. It is the clouding of the natural lens of the eye. To correct her vision, the doctor has advised left-sided Phaco and Intraocular Lens (IOL) implantation. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond her family’s means. If left untreated, the cataract may slowly get worse. It will ultimately increase the risk of blindness. Therefore, timely surgery is necessary for Noshela. Noshela’s financial situation is extremely difficult.
She lives with her husband and seven children in a modest home. Her husband is the only earning member of the family and works as a daily wage laborer, earning only PKR 25,000 per month. This small income is used to feed a family of nine. After spending PKR 2,000 on utility bills and PKR 3,000 on the education for their children, very little remains for food, clothing, and other daily needs. Many times, they struggle to manage even basic necessities. Given their financial situation, they can’t afford Noshela’s surgery.
Noshela expressed her plea as follows:
“For a long time, I have not seen my children’s faces clearly. I struggle to even walk around my home. I want to undergo this surgery, but my husband can’t afford it. Kindly help me receive this treatment so that I can see the world clearly again.”
Noshela wishes to regain her sight and continue taking care of her children properly. Your kindness can bring light back into her life.
Be kind and contribute to Noshela’s much-needed cataract surgery.
