Empower Habib Ullah with Eye Surgery
Habib Ullah's Story
Habib Ullah, a 7-year-old boy from Multan, is suffering from blurry and dim vision. This condition makes even daily activities difficult for him. He often bumps into things while walking and can’t even play with his friends. His parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a detailed examination, the doctor diagnosed him with left-sided aphakia, a condition in which the natural lens of the eye is missing, leading to severe visual impairment. He previously underwent surgery for cataract in both eyes. His right eye lens was replaced, and the left eye lens was removed. He now requires left-sided anterior vitrectomy along with secondary intraocular lens (IOL) implantation. If Habib Ullah does not receive the surgery, his condition may continue to affect his visual development. It may lead to permanent impairment of vision in the affected eye.
Habib Ullah lives in a modest household in Multan with his parents and five siblings. His father works as a fruit vendor and earns around PKR 30,000 per month. This income is used to manage the needs of the entire family, including utility bills of PKR 2,000, and educational expenses of PKR 5,000 for the children. After meeting these essential responsibilities, very little remains to save for his treatment. The family faces financial hardships, and they are unable to afford Habib Ullah’s eye surgery.
Habib Ullah’s father expressed his plea as follows:
“I work hard, but my income is barely enough to manage the household. Seeing my son struggle with poor eyesight breaks my heart. He cannot see things clearly, and I’m worried about his future. Kindly contribute to my son’s surgery.”
