Enable Shumaila to See Clearly Through Eye Surgery
Shumaila Bibi's Story
Shumaila Bibi, a 5-year-old girl from Khanewal, is struggling with a world that is slowly fading from her sight. At an age where children are expected to explore colors, faces, and the beauty around them, Shumaila is unable to see clearly. Due to worsening blurred vision, she faces difficulty in daily activities and depends on others for basic guidance. Concerned about her condition, her family took her to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed her with Bilateral Cataract. It is the clouding of the natural lens of the eye. Her right eye is more affected than the left one. The doctor has advised Right Lens Aspiration with IOL implantation, a procedure that can restore her vision and prevent further deterioration. Without timely surgery, Shumaila’s eyesight may continue to worsen, increasing the risk of long-term visual impairment. Early intervention is crucial to give her a chance at normal visual development and a brighter future.
Shumaila lives with her parents and one sibling in a modest home. Her father works as a laborer and earns around PKR 35,000 per month, which is already stretched across household expenses, utilities, and daily necessities. Despite his efforts, the family is also burdened with a loan of PKR 100,000. Due to their financial constraints, arranging money for Shumaila’s surgery has become impossible for them.
Her father shared his pain with deep emotions as follows:
“I cannot bear to see my daughter struggling with blurred vision every single day. She cannot see the world clearly. Our financial situation makes it impossible for us to afford her treatment. Kindly contribute to Shumaila’s surgery.”
With timely surgery, her vision can be improved, allowing her to see her loved ones clearly and continue her childhood without limitations. Your support can bring light into her life.
Come forward and help Shumaila Bibi see clearly.
