You Can Heal Nabeel’s Heart with Surgery
Muhammad Nabeel's Story
Muhammad Nabeel, a 23-year-old man from Faisalabad, has spent much of his life fighting a serious disease. He underwent open-heart surgery in 2013 to correct Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a complex congenital heart defect. For years, that procedure gave him hope and the chance to have a healthier life. However, his heart is once again struggling, and he now faces another difficult battle. Over the past several months, Nabeel has been experiencing increasing shortness of breath, chest discomfort, and frequent palpitations. Even moderate physical activity leaves him exhausted and unable to perform daily tasks. Concerned by his worsening health, his family took him to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor. After a detailed evaluation, the doctor diagnosed him with Pulmonary Regurgitation (PR) and Right Ventricular Volume Overload (RVVO), complications that have developed after his previous heart surgery. To prevent further damage to his heart and improve his quality of life, the doctor has recommended a Redo Open-Heart Surgery with Pulmonary Valve Replacement. This complex procedure is essential to restore proper heart function and protect him from serious complications in the future. Without timely treatment, Nabeel’s condition may continue to deteriorate, increasing the risk of heart failure, severe cardiac complications, and a significant decline in his overall health.
Nabeel lives with his family in a rented house in Faisalabad. The household consists of five members. His father is a guard, and his brother is a salesman. The family’s total monthly income is just PKR 40,000. A significant portion of this income is consumed by educational expenses, utility bills, house rent, and other household necessities. As a result, arranging money for his surgery is far beyond the family’s financial capacity.
Nabeel’s parents said in despair:
“We thought the surgery he had as a child would end his suffering, but now he is facing another major challenge. We cannot bear to watch him struggle with this heart condition. The cost of the surgery is beyond our means. Kindly support Nabeel’s life-saving surgery.”
