Save Ameer’s Life by Supporting His Heart Surgery
Ameer Abdullah's Story
Ameer Abdullah, a 2-year-old boy from Bannu, KPK, has been experiencing shortness of breath and chest discomfort since birth. He suffers from breathlessness even during mild to moderate physical activity, along with constant tiredness and weakness. It makes it challenging for him to play or carry out normal activities for his age. Concerned about his worsening condition, Ahram’s family went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed him with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). It is a congenital heart condition in which a hole in the wall between the heart’s lower chambers allows abnormal blood flow. His doctor advised VSD closure surgery (open-heart surgery) to repair the defect and prevent life-threatening complications. Unfortunately, Ameer’s family cannot afford this procedure.
If left untreated, Ameer’s condition may result in:
Irreversible damage to the heart and lungs
Stunted physical and cognitive development
Increased risk of heart failure
Potentially life-threatening complications
Ameer Abdullah lives in a modest house with eight family members. His father works as a watchman and earns PKR 25,000 per month. The family includes five siblings. They are also burdened with a loan of PKR 200,000. Utility bills add another PKR 3,000 to the monthly expenses. With such limited earnings, all money goes towards daily living needs, leaving nothing to cover the cost of this life-saving surgery.
Ameer’s parents shared their heartfelt plea as follows:
“Our son becomes breathless even with simple activities, and his constant weakness worries us every day. We don’t have enough money to pay for his surgery. We earn just enough to survive, and we need your support to save our son’s life.”
Ameer Abdullah’s health depends on heart surgery. Your generosity can help him recover and lead a healthy life. Be a source of hope for Ameer Abdullah and turn his suffering into healing.
