Muhammad Farhan's Story

Muhammad Farhan, a 19-year-old man from Basti Mirani, Multan, is struggling with blurred vision in his right eye. His weakening eyesight has made daily life difficult and has filled him with worry. Farhan’s vision problem began after trauma to his right eye. With time, the blurriness increased and started affecting his ability to see clearly. After his medical evaluation, he was diagnosed with a right-sided traumatic cataract. To restore his vision and prevent further difficulty, the doctor has advised Right LMA with IOL implantation.

Without this surgery, Farhan may continue to face:

• Increasing difficulty in seeing from his right eye

• Dependence on others for routine tasks

• Risk of further vision-related complications

Farhan belongs to a humble family of five. He works as a daily wager, while his father, Muhammad Ramzan, teaches children in the mosque. Together, they earn only PKR 20,000 per month. The family lives in a small rented brick house in Multan. Their limited income is spent on house rent of PKR 5,000, utility bills of PKR 1,000, educational expenses of PKR 1,000, food, and other basic needs. Given their financial situation, they can’t afford Farhan’s surgery.

Farhan shared his concern in these words:

“My eyesight has become weak, and I face difficulty in seeing clearly from my right eye. We cannot afford the advised surgery. My father and I work hard, yet our income is only enough for our daily needs. Kindly help me regain my vision.”
