Masmat Siyani's Story

Masmat Siyani, a 71-year-old woman from Dadu, Sindh, has been living in constant pain and discomfort for the past two years. Her condition has made even daily activities difficult for her. Concerned about her health, her family took her to a nearby doctor for a medical examination. After detailed checkups and laboratory tests, the doctors diagnosed her with UV Prolapse and advised Vaginal Hysterectomy to relieve her suffering and prevent further complications. Masmat suffers from severe heaviness in her lower abdomen, and a painful lump protrudes through her genital tract, causing immense physical discomfort. Due to her advanced age and fragile health, delaying the surgery could worsen her condition and further affect her quality of life. Doctors have warned that timely treatment is essential to ease her pain and help her return to a normal life.

Life has already been extremely difficult for Masmat and her family. She is a widow and has no source of income of her own. Currently, she is living at her daughter’s home, where the entire family is struggling financially. Her son-in-law holds irregular jobs and earns around PKR 30,000 per month, which is barely enough to support the household expenses of four family members.
