Abdul Razzak Will Always Remember Your Support for His Hernioplasty
Abdul Razzak's Story
Abdul Razzak, a 56-year-old man from Hyderabad, had been experiencing discomfort caused by a swelling near his navel for the past two months. What began as a small lump gradually increased in size and started causing pain. Over time, the discomfort made it difficult for him to stand for long periods, sit comfortably, or continue his daily work with ease. Despite trying medicines for temporary relief, his condition continued to interfere with his routine life and ability to earn a living.
Concerned about his worsening symptoms, Abdul Razzak visited a local hospital where he was examined by a doctor. After a detailed physical assessment and required investigations, he was diagnosed with a Paraumbilical Hernia. The condition occurs when a portion of the intestine pushes through a weakened area of the abdominal wall near the navel, forming a visible and painful bulge. To correct the defect and prevent future complications, the doctor recommended mesh repair surgery. However, the cost of the surgery was beyond his reach.
Abdul Razzak is the sole provider for his family of nine members, including his wife and seven children. He earns approximately PKR 30,000 per month through daily wage labor, which is barely sufficient to cover basic household necessities. With no savings, arranging money for the surgery was not possible. During this time of need, he contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help. Moved by his plea, we registered his case.
On April 23, 2026, Abdul Razzak was admitted to the Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. On April 24, 2026, the surgery was performed by Dr. Waseem Memon, who successfully carried out the mesh repair procedure. The operation was completed without any complications. Abdul Razzak stayed at the hospital for post-op care and was discharged in stable condition on April 26, 2026.
Abdul Razzak shared his thoughts as follows:
“Living with this pain made my daily work very difficult, and my quality of life was affected. After the surgery, I feel much better and relieved. I am immensely grateful to you for helping me receive this treatment.”
Today, Abdul Razzak is recovering well and gradually returning to his normal routine.
His family is relieved to see his progress and extends heartfelt gratitude to you for your generous support that made this treatment possible.
