Your Contribution Helped Sabiyani Overcome Gallbladder Disease
Sabiyani Saif Ullah's Story
Sabiyani Saif Ullah, a 56-year-old widow from Naushahro Feroze, Sindh, had been living with pain in the upper right side of her abdomen for the past year. Along with the pain, she frequently experienced nausea and indigestion, especially after eating oily or fatty foods. As her symptoms became more frequent, even routine household responsibilities became difficult to manage. Recently, Sabiyani visited a local hospital for an evaluation. After the necessary examination, the doctor diagnosed her with symptomatic gallstones. This condition develops when hardened deposits form inside the gallbladder, leading to pain, nausea, indigestion, and other digestive problems. To eliminate the source of her symptoms and avoid further health complications, the doctor recommended an open cholecystectomy.
The recommended surgery was beyond Sabiyani’s family’s financial means. After the death of her husband, the responsibility of supporting the household fell entirely on her son, who works as a daily wage laborer. His income is irregular and reaches approximately PKR 18,000 per month. He supports a family of seven members, including Sabiyani, her elderly mother, two sons, one daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. The family’s modest earnings are spent on rent, food, utility bills, and other essential household expenses. Wishing to overcome this challenge, Sabiyani contacted Transparent Hands. Following the assessment of her medical records and financial condition, her case was registered.
On June 9, 2026, Sabiyani was admitted to the Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. Her open cholecystectomy was performed by Dr. Waseem Memon on June 10, 2026. The surgery removed the gallbladder that had been causing her pain and digestive discomfort. After post-operative care and observation, she was discharged in stable condition on June 13, 2026.
Expressing her appreciation, Sabiyani said:
“I often worried because the pain made it difficult to manage even the simplest household tasks, and we had no way to afford the surgery. Your kindness has given me comfort and the chance to live without the constant discomfort I experienced for so long. My family and I are incredibly grateful for your generous support.”
The surgery has brought Sabiyani significant relief from the pain and digestive problems that had affected her daily life. She is happy to resume her everyday activities with greater comfort.
Her family is deeply grateful for your generosity, which made her treatment possible.
