Amna Ayaz Awaits a C-Section

Amna Ayaz's Story
Amna Ayaz, a 31-year-old woman from Karachi, is currently 17 weeks pregnant with her fourth child. As she has already undergone three C-sections, her doctor advised a planned C-section to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. For Amna, the joy of expecting another child is clouded by the fear of not being able to afford the much-needed C-section.
If Amna does not undergo the required C-section, she and her baby may face serious complications. Given her history of three C-sections, a normal delivery may cause significant risks, including uterine rupture, excessive bleeding, and fetal distress. These complications can put both her and the baby’s life in danger.
Amna lives in a small rented home with her husband and three children. Her husband is an employee at a steel mill and makes just PKR 30,000 per month. He is the sole provider for the family and struggles to manage the house rent of PKR 8000 in addition to their children’s school fees of PKR 3700, as well as food expenses. Given their financial limitations, they hardly make ends meet. Amna and her husband are extremely excited to welcome their new baby into the world, but their limited resources have left them in despair. The cost of Amna’s C-section is beyond their financial capacity.
During this challenging time, Amna’s husband contacted Transparent Hands and asked for assistance. With a heavy heart, he said:
“I work hard to provide for my family, but the cost of this surgery is something I can’t afford. I don’t have anyone in my family who can help me right now. I request you to be generous and support my wife in safely delivering our baby.”
Amna deserves to live a happy life with her husband and children. Your kindness will enable us to provide her with the much-needed C-section.
