Afshana Nazeer's Story

Afshana Nazeer, a 27-year-old woman from Khanewal, is currently 34 weeks pregnant with her third child. During her recent medical checkups, doctors thoroughly followed her condition and advised a C-section for the safe birth of her baby. Given her history of two previous C-sections, a normal delivery may cause serious risks for both the mother and child, including complications such as uterine rupture, excessive bleeding, and life-threatening conditions for the baby. A timely C-section has therefore been recommended to ensure a safe outcome. However, Afshana and her family are facing a difficult financial situation that makes the procedure unaffordable for them.

Afshana is a housewife and lives in a rented home with her husband and two children. Her husband works at a hospital and earns a monthly income of just PKR 25,000. This modest income is used to manage house rent, utility bills, food, and educational expenses of the children. After covering these basic needs, the family is left with very limited resources, making it impossible for them to pay for the surgery. As her delivery date approaches, Afshana carries both hope and worry in her heart.

With concern in her voice, Afshana shared:

“I am waiting for my baby’s arrival, but I am worried because my previous deliveries were through C-sections. The doctors have advised another C-section for my baby’s safety, but we cannot afford it. I just want to hold my baby safely in my arms. Kindly help me during this difficult time.”

Transparent Hands has registered Afshana Nazeer’s case, but we need your support to help her undergo the advised C-section.

Your donations can help ensure a safe delivery for both the mother and child. Step forward and contribute now.
