Syed Ahsan Shah's Story

Syed Ahsan Shah, a 10-year-old boy from Multan, is living with blurred vision in his right eye. Activities like walking around his home and playing with his friends are significantly challenging for him. Worried about his eyesight, his parents took him to the hospital for a detailed evaluation. After examining his condition, the doctor diagnosed him with a right-sided cataract. A cataract is a condition in which the eye’s natural lens becomes cloudy, causing blurred vision. To restore his vision, the doctor has recommended right-sided lens matter aspiration with intraocular lens (IOL) implantation. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond his family’s financial means. If Ahsan’s condition is left untreated, the clouding in his right eye may continue to affect his vision. Delaying treatment may lead to complete blindness.

Ahsan lives in a modest home with his parents and four siblings. His father works as a daily wage laborer, while his mother works as a housemaid. Together, they earn only PKR 20,000 per month to provide for their five children and meet the family’s daily needs. Despite their hard work, their modest income is not enough to afford the cost of Ahsan’s eye surgery.

Ahsan’s parents shared their plea as follows:

“We are waiting for the day when our son will be able to see clearly like other children. We both work hard every day to provide for our children, but our income is only enough to meet our basic household needs. Ahsan needs your help during this challenging time. Kindly donate to his treatment.”
