Naseem Khatoon's Story

Naseem Khatoon, a 37-year-old woman from Hyderabad, Sindh, was anxiously awaiting the birth of her fifth child. Having undergone four previous C-sections, her pregnancy was considered high-risk and required close medical attention. As she entered the final months of pregnancy, concerns about her health and the safety of her unborn baby continued to grow. During a routine medical examination, the doctor carefully reviewed her obstetric history and advised a C-section for delivery. Given her previous C-sections, attempting a normal delivery could have exposed both mother and child to serious complications.

Naseem’s family was already facing significant hardships. Her husband suffered from a serious neurological illness and asthma, leaving him bedridden and unable to work. As parents of four children, the family depended largely on financial assistance from relatives. Her in-laws provided approximately PKR 15,000 per month, which was barely enough to cover basic household expenses. With no regular source of income, paying for the C-section was impossible.

As the expected delivery date approached, the family’s worries intensified. During this time of need, Naseem contacted Transparent Hands for assistance. After reviewing her medical records and assessing the family’s financial circumstances, we registered her case.

On April 16, 2026, Naseem was admitted to the Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. Her C-section was successfully performed by Dr. Fouzia Sheikh. The procedure went smoothly, and Naseem safely delivered a healthy baby boy. Both the mother and child remained under medical observation. They were discharged in stable condition on April 19, 2026.

Holding her newborn son in her arms, Naseem shared:

“There were moments when I feared I would not be able to undergo a C-section for a safe delivery. Seeing my baby healthy and safe has brought immense happiness to our home. Your support gave us hope at a time when we needed it most.”

The successful delivery brought relief and joy to the entire family.

Naseem and her baby boy are doing well, and she is embracing motherhood once again with peace of mind.
