You Ensured Khalid’s Recovery From Ameloblastoma

Khalid Pervaiz's Story

Khalid Pervaiz, a 67-year-old man from Lahore, had been suffering from a painful oral condition. The pain inside his mouth was accompanied by swelling on the right side of his face, which continued to increase in size over time. The growing swelling not only caused discomfort but also led to visible facial deformity, making everyday interactions increasingly difficult. As his condition worsened, Khalid visited a hospital for medical evaluation. After detailed examinations and diagnostic investigations, the doctor diagnosed him with Ameloblastoma. To remove the tumor and restore the appearance and function of his jaw, the doctor recommended surgical excision of the lesion followed by reconstruction.

Khalid lived in a rented house in Lahore with three family members. Both Khalid and his son work as salesmen, and together they earn approximately PKR 65,000 per month. After covering house rent, utility bills, groceries, and other household expenses, the family had little left to manage the cost of this surgery. During this difficult time, Khalid contacted Transparent Hands and shared his circumstances. After reviewing his medical reports and evaluating the family’s financial situation, we registered his case.

On April 7 2026, Khalid was admitted to the CMH Hospital in Lahore. The following day, his surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Asad Aizaz. The procedure involved the excision of the tumor and reconstruction of the affected area. After vigilant post-operative care and monitoring, Khalid was discharged in stable condition on April 8, 2026.
